Sending Money within MTN Network: To send money within the MTN network, follow these steps:

  1.    Dial *165#

  2.    Select "Send Money"

  3.    Choose "Mobile User"

  4.    Enter the recipient's phone number

  5.   Input the amount (be mindful of withdrawal and sending charges)

  6.    Provide a reason (In this case: "AWRC Registration")

  7.    Confirm with your Mobile Money pin code

  8.   Both sender and recipient will receive a confirmation message, marking the transaction complete 

Sending Money to MTN from Other Networks:

If sending money to MTN from a different network in Uganda: 

Visit a mobile money agent directly with the cash amount. The agent will handle the transaction, requiring the cash and a sending fee of Ugx 1,000.

Sending Money to AWRC MTN Number from Abroad: To send money to the AWRC MTN number from abroad:

  1.   Download an International money transfer

    app (e.g., Sendwave, Remitly, World Remit).

  2.    Follow the app's instructions or check

    their website for guidance.

  3.    The recipient's withdrawal fee (e.g., for

    Ugx 50,000, add Ugx 2,000).
